About the event
On 18th September 2025, finance leaders, policymakers, and industry experts from Australia and Luxembourg will gather for a high-level hybrid forum exploring how to bridge the multitrillion-dollar global climate finance gap.
Hosted by the Australia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce Luxembourg (ANZCCL), and co-led by Darren Shipard (Board Member, ANZCCL) and John Lee (Macquarie Bank), the event will spotlight Luxembourg’s world-leading sustainable finance expertise—including green bonds, blended finance, and nature-based solutions—and how it can help unlock the AU$100+ billion per year Australia needs for clean energy and decarbonisation projects.
Keynote speakers include:
Carl Atkin House, Managing Director, ESG & Transaction Risk – Climate Asset Management Fund opportunities in Australia.
Marcell Koves, Partner, Deloitte – Case study on how the absence of a Double Taxation Agreement blocked investment in an Australian renewable project.
Laetitia Hamon, Head of Operations & Sustainable Finance, Luxembourg Stock Exchange – Innovations in climate finance and green bonds.
